Message for Faculty & Librarians: Applications for eligible child care expenses due by February 28

This is a reminder that applications for reimbursement of eligible 2011 expenses must be received by February 28, 2012 using the Child Care Benefit Plan Application Form.

Under the plan, you can receive reimbursement (a T4 taxable benefit) for eligible child care expenses incurred during the 2011 calendar year for children under the age of seven, up to a maximum determined each year by the number of eligible claims received and the size of the capped fund. The maximum available per child each year will be adjusted to ensure the total fund is spent.

Since the total fund for reimbursement for faculty and librarians is capped ($1,295M for 2011, $1M thereafter), we need to receive all applications before determining the final reimbursement amount. As a result, we are not able to accept late applications. Applications received after February 28, 2012 will not be processed.
