LGBTQ Resources & Programs
The LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) Resources & Programs offers a wide range of programming, education and consultation about sexual and gender diversity to students, staff, faculty and alumni. It provides:
- Confidential services to anyone experiencing difficulties related to heterosexism or homophobia, or who has questions, educational needs or other related concerns.
- Initiatives and programming to support students, staff and faculty at U of T who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered or queer, or who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.
- Education, information and training on developing positive learning and workplace environments.
- We address both individual and systemic discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
When can I contact the office? Anytime! Or when….
- You have questions about sexual diversity, wish to consult about policies, recruitment and retention, inclusive classrooms and curriculum or addressing student, staff or faculty needs.
- You or someone you know at U of T is experiencing homophobia or heterosexism and would like to know about options to deal with the situation.
- You are a dean, principal or manager who would like more information about raising awareness for staff.
- You want more information about the LBGTQ community at U of T.
- You would like Positive Space resources such as stickers or posters or information on how to be an ally.
