When you start work, you will need to get a TCard, which is a photo ID smartcard that serves as your official U of T identification card.
To obtain a TCard:
- Obtain a completed ‘Getting online at U of T' document from your departmental business officer;
- Bring photo identification and one of your unique identifiers (barcode number, UTORid or personnel number) contained in the 'Getting online' letter;
- Go to the TCard Office at your campus location:
The card service is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
To activate your email (UTORmail):
UTORmail is the institutional email service of the University of Toronto providing email access to students, faculty, and staff. Recognized as the first wide scale network service to be deployed cross-campus, the UTORmail system currently supports a community of just over 72,000.
Information Commons, the Network Services Group and the University's libraries together provide and support UTORmail (institutional email) and UTORdial (dial-in Internet service).
To activate your email, you will need your UTORid.
