Objective Setting Process Timeline

August 9 – September 28, 2018*
Employee records the agreed upon goals and professional development activities in Halogen and submits the online form to Manager for review and approval.
October 1 – November 30, 2018 (updated)
Manager reviews objectives and professional development plans submitted by Employee using Halogen form and approves them online.
Throughout the review period
During review period Employee keeps track of completion of the goals/objectives and professional development activities and updates Halogen records reflecting status of each of the agreed upon goals/objectives and professional development activities. Employee can add a new goal(s) / objective(s) and/or professional development activity(ies) in Halogen if any arise after the online form is completed.
* Goals and Professional development activities can be recorded and confirmed in Halogen by an employee and their manager any time during the period from launch of the online process until November 30, 2018.

Performance Assessment Process Timeline

by May 29, 2018
All Advancement Professional (AP) staff complete their Activity Report and submit it to their manager in the Halogen system by May 29, 2018.
May 30 – June 21
Manager reviews and completes the online performance assessment form and reflects on feedback and coaching discussions that occurred with AP staff members throughout the review period.
by June 21
Manager submits the completed performance assessment with a recommended overall performance rating by June 21 for the Advancement Compensation Committee (ACC). The ACC must review all recommendations before any discussion with AP staff members take place. All managers are to follow their Faculty’s/Division’s approval process prior to submitting their recommendations to the committee.
June 28
Advancement Compensation Committee (ACC) Review Meeting.
by July 6
Compensation to confirm the approved performance ratings to Divisional HR Offices for distribution to Managers.
by July 20
Manager conducts performance discussions with AP staff members. Manager submits finalized and approved online assessment back to Employee.
by July 31
AP staff complete Employee Comments and Signs Off on the online assessment.
